Internet Identity Theft – Ways to Prevent it

Internet Identity Theft

Internet Identity Theft

Although internet cafes are omnipresent in Asia, they don’t play on level playing fields.  If you have ever traveled there minus your laptop, you are abundantly aware how frustrating it is trying to connect with family via Skye. Whilst dealing with tonnes of teenagers parsimoniously sucking up bandwidth as they play video games or watch Youtube videos of the latest pop icons.

Regrettably, there is a strong chance that your nerves and precious time are not all you are sacrificing at internet cafes in Asia.

Identity theft is commonplace throughout Asia.  It has been rumored that on  numerous occasions  ill intending staff members have a tendency to  install software called keylogging on the computers.  This menace sweeps the naive tourists’ passwords and usernames.  Eventually, this information is sold to those nasty spammers who will gladly bombard your friends and family with emails containing disgusting ads and products – That no one ever wants.

Even if your not dealing with a sneaky staff member, settings and practices of some inefficient web browsers divulge your personal computer information.  They unintentionally can be  key players in the identity theft industry.

Explorer routinely remembers your passwords to all your private entities.  If that is not enough, there  are Facebook and Skype, to deal with, who by default, tend to keep you continually logged into your accounts, even when you are in la la land.

Lest anyone and everyone accessing and updating your Facebook status whenever they feel like it does not bother you, you need to think about using a secure and easy to use alternative: purchase a portable web browser.  These portable browsers are installable on a tiny USB memory stick and contains only one file.  You insert it into computers at internet cafes.
Not only do you take with you your cookies, personal info, and bookmarks. You also have the security of traveling with your very own web browser.

Making the chance of  digital identity theft, impossible.
